At Good Steward School, we believe financial education has the power to create opportunities, build confidence, and prepare individuals for lifelong success. This spring, we had the privilege of bringing that mission internationally by hosting Money Moves: Building Your Financial Foundation, a financial education seminar at Saint Louis University – Madrid.
Designed as an interactive, beginner-friendly experience, the seminar introduced students to the foundations of personal finance. Rather than presenting a one-size-fits-all lesson, the seminar was intentionally tailored to the unique experiences of students studying in Madrid.
Discussions included practical financial concepts that students could immediately apply while living abroad, such as budgeting in a new country, managing day-to-day expenses, developing healthy saving habits, and understanding the fundamentals of investing. By connecting financial principles to students' everyday experiences, the seminar made learning both practical and relevant.
Students actively participated in discussions, asked thoughtful questions, and explored how the financial decisions they make today can shape future opportunities. Whether attendees were completely new to personal finance or already interested in investing, the seminar created an engaging and welcoming environment where everyone could learn and grow.
Beyond the educational content, Money Moves represented an exciting milestone for Good Steward School. Bringing financial education to an international university campus demonstrated that practical financial knowledge is both universal and adaptable to the needs of different communities. The event reinforced our commitment to meeting learners where they are and providing educational experiences that are relevant to their goals and circumstances.
As Good Steward School continues to grow, we remain committed to creating educational experiences that empower individuals to make informed financial decisions with confidence. Through workshops, seminars, community partnerships, and educational resources, we hope to inspire the next generation of responsible financial stewards.
This seminar is only the beginning. We look forward to expanding our reach, developing new educational opportunities, and continuing our mission of equipping people with the knowledge and confidence to build stronger financial futures.
Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event such a memorable experience.
We are excited for what lies ahead.
Because stewardship starts here.
